Welcome to the

Undersheriff Ron Trowbridge began his career in 1987 as a Patrol Officer for the Lamar Police Department, where he later achieved the rank of Captain. He had already attended the Arapahoe Community College Police Academy and became POST certified in 1986.

He began as Undersheriff for the Prowers County Sheriff's Office in May of 2006. He has a B.A. Degree from Adams State College in Business Administration.

Message from the Undersheriff:

In April of 2006 Sheriff Faull asked me if I would consider being the Undersheriff for the Prowers County Sheriff’s Office.  At the time I was a Captain for the Lamar Police Department and after over 18 years there I was excited about a change and the opportunity of working for the Sheriff’s Office. 

         I had worked with Sheriff Faull when he too was a Captain with the Lamar Police Department and was eager for an opportunity to work with him again.  What I found when I started was a very good organization staffed with exceptionally fine people. 

         This was made apparent to me in the months that followed as we faced several difficult challenges including record-breaking snow storms, devastating tornados, and high-profile criminal investigations. 

I am proud to be a part of this office and count it a real blessing to work with such fine people.
