Senior Deputy Sam Zordel began law enforcement at the Sheriff's Office in September 1996 as a Detention Officer. Attended the Trinidad State Jr. College Police Academy in 1998 and became POST certified. Promoted to Patrol in 1999 and to Senior Deputy May 2003. Sam is the Patrol Supervisor with Narcotics investigation experience and is an Arrest Control
Instructor certified in Controlled F.O.R.C.E. and Clandestine Lab Technician, with Thermal Imager certification.
Deputy Phillip Silva began his Law Enforcement Career in July 1996 as a Detention Officer here in the Jail. He became POST certified in December 1999 after attending the Otero Jr. College Police Academy. He became a Patrol Deputy May 1st, 2001, and has additional duties as a Taser Instructor and Evidence Custodian.
Deputy Jason Weisenhorn began his Law Enforcement Career in 1998, just after he attended the Trinidad State Junior College Police Academy. After being POST certified, he became an officer for the Holly Police Department. . He started with the Sheriff's Office in February 2003, as a Detention Officer, later receiving promotion to Patrol Deputy in March 2003. Jason is also a Firearms Instructor.
Deputy Bill Nordyke began his law enforcement career in 1989, with the Holly Police Department. He became POST certified in 1990, after attending the Trinidad State Jr College Police Academy. He started with the Sheriff's Office in August 1997, as a Detention Officer. He became a Patrol Deputy in May 2004.
Deputy Tracy Weisenhorn began her law enforcement career in March 2002, as a Detention Officer in the Prowers County Jail. She attended the Trinidad State Jr. College Police Academy in 2003 and became POST certified. She was promoted to Patrol Deputy in October 2004. Tracy is Thermal Imager Qualified and manages our vehicle impounds.
Deputy Parker began Law Enforcement in November 2002 as a
Detention Officer in the Prowers County Jail. He attended Trinidad State Jr. College Police Academy and became POST certified in 2005. He was promoted to Patrol Deputy in Dec 2005. John is an Arrest Control Instructor certified in PPCT and Controlled F.O.R.C.E.

Detective
Deputy Earls in 2004 with the Texas County Sheriff's Office, in
Oklahoma. He became POST certified in 2003, attending AIMS Community College. He began his job here at the Sheriff's Office in 2006, as a Patrol Deputy.
